Today we turned out classroom into a Science Lab!
First of all we look at the materials we were going to use...water, a plate and some Skittles.
We were investigating what would happen when we put the skittles into water. Our predictions were fabulous!
After that we made a pattern using the skittles. Everyone took part in creating it on the plate.
Once we had covered the plate in Skittles we added a little bit of water. This is when we had to use our observation skills. Our predictions were correct! The colour from the skittles turned the water different colours and our pattern created a rainbow effect. The rainbow grew and grew until it met in the middle. We then had a turn at changing the colour of a small tray of water ourselves 🤩
