This half term in PDMU we have been exploring the theme of belonging. How we belong in our family, our school and in the local community. On mental health day we each designed an island to reflect our identity and how/where we belong. They were absolutely brilliant and included lots of sport, music, film, food, family, clubs and other interests. We also learnt a song called What I Am by Will I Am which further explored this theme. Finally we listened to the story of Mimi and the Mountain Dragon by Michael Morpurgo which is about a lost dragon. The discussions have been fantastic and hopefully each child has enjoyed exploring this important theme.
