P2SM Clay Hedgehogs

30th Sep 2020

We had a lovely morning exploring clay. We used our thumbs to mould our balls of clay into bowl shapes. We then had to use our fingers and thumbs to smooth the sides. After that we stuffed our bowls with scrunched up newspaper and joined them together. We had to use little bits of water to smooth the bowls together and then pinched our thumb and fingers to make the prickles. Lots of super exercise for our hands as well as enjoying the messy clay! They are now sitting on our windowsill where they will dry out and then we will paint them next week!
