Today we were busy making the story of 8. We used Numicon to help us record all of the ways to make 8, giant foam Numicon to work out ‘how many more’ make 8, cuisenaire to build a wall of 8, the computers to put 8 bears in two different houses, Dixie dox game, and a dominoes colouring page to help us make 8. The children worked hard in their groups and are brilliant at this number bond.
