The children in P1JC became scientists this afternoon in our skittles experiment. They predicted, investigated, and observed what would happen if we put water in with skittles. We looked at the colour pattern and then each picked the correct skittle to continue the repeating pattern all around the plate. We added some water to the middle of the plate and watched what happened. As the skittles colour and sugar dissolved into the water, it made a beautiful rainbow colour of our repeating pattern. Our predictions were correct, we even guessed the bottom of the skittles would turn white as the colour mixed with the water. Well done P1JC 👏
