This week we have been painting our own gingerbread people during Play. We added sparkles and decorations. Each one is different and unique, just like us!
Today we got to watch The Gingerbread Man and then turned out classroom into a Science Lab 🧫. Our question to answer was "Which liquid will make the gingerbread people soggy and fall apart first?"
We looked at the 4 liquids, water, oil, vinegar and milk. They each had a different smell and consistency. We didn't like the vinegar!
Each of us made our predictions. Most of us thought the water would make the gingerbread soggy first!
We placed a small gingerbread person into each of the liquids. Then we had to be very patient, wait and observe!
Just before lunch we checked and our prediction was correct, the gingerbread person in water had broken apart! Next was the vinegar, then milk.
To our surprise, the gingerbread person in oil was still hard and hadn't changed. We have left it over the weekend and will check it again on Monday.
