We have been enjoying using BeeBot during Numeracy and Play Based Learning. This is a programmable toy shaped like a bee and is our introduction to coding!
We used a grid with pictures of the cottages built by The 3 Little Pigs. We had to work out how to get BeeBot from one cottage to the other. To do this we counted the squares and worked out which way BeeBot had to travel. We then inputted the commands. First of all we had to press 'clear'. Then we pressed the arrow button showing the direction we want BeeBot to travel and it had to be pressed the correct number of times! Finally, we pressed 'go'.
We were amazing! 🐝
