The Belmont and St Joseph’s primary 1 children welcomed Sarah McIntyre to school. She is a established children’s author and illustrator who brought her stories to life for the children. They listened attentively as Sarah explained the whole process involved from having an idea for a story , up until its published. The children then were able to learn first had how to be an illustrator. Sarah drew step by step with the children one of her book characters, Dippy dinosaur. They then brain stormed ideas with Sarah and co wrote a story about a crocodile train driver. One of the children showed his own creative work to Sarah. It was a fabulous morning, thank you Lucy and Liz from the Belfast Book Trust for organising it for us.
