Today, as part of our STEM activity we read the story of The Gingerbread Man. We talked about how he needed to get across the river but had no way of getting to the other side. We looked at some examples of bridges from around the world and the materials they were made from. We also discussed how engineers have the important job of creating a suitable design and material.
We made some predictions about which material would be the most suitable for our bridge to get our Gingerbread family from one grassy bank to the other.
