PTA Update

24th Nov 2022

The PTA would like to extend their thanks for all your support so far this term - the excitement around the cake sale was wonderful and we hope that the children enjoyed their movie afternoon.   You may have noticed some new outdoor additions to the playgrounds. Last year the PTA were happy to help secure grant funding from The National Lottery - Living Spaces and Places, Live Here Love Here and Belfast City Council to help update and improve the outdoor spaces at the school. We can’t wait to see what the new planters look like in the Spring and Summer - and hopefully the bug hotel will be a big hit with our creepy crawly friends.    It’s been brilliant to see lots of new faces on the PTA this year - and we are always happy to have new members, volunteers and helpers. The next meeting will be on January 10th at 7.30pm in the school hall - we’d love to see you there!

Did you know you can donate for free?

We know that a PTA donation may not be top of your to do list - but did you know there are ways you can help to donate for free?

Shop and donate

With one month to go until Christmas it seems like a great time to mention AmazonSmile and Easy Fundraising. Both of these sites allow you to shop online as normal while helping to raise funds for the school - at no additional cost. Simply search Belmont Primary School PTA - Belfast on EasyFundraising and Belmont PTA on AmazonSmile   Please note Amazon Smile may need to be reactivated for each purchase if using the mobile App

Declutter and donate

Having a pre clear out before the festivities? Our Cash4Clobber bin is always happy to have your old donations of clothes, shoes and textiles. All donations to the bin are recycled by Cookstown Textile Recyclers who kindly sponsor the Eco Schools initiative. Last year Cash4Clobber textile donations helped raise over £500 for the school.

Get your boss to donate

Does your workplace offer Matched Funding? Many large companies such as supermarkets and banks as well as smaller local businesses offer their employees matched donations when they help raise charitable funds. If this is something you think you would be able to help with please get in touch.

Thank you so much for all your support this term, for any further information or even if you’ve just got a great idea you think we should hear then please email on belmontpta_sec@yahoo.com
