P3GS Space Day 🚀👽☄️👩‍🚀🛸

15th Mar 2026

On Friday we had a very exciting Space themed day.

First the children did a Science experiment where they launched a little mouse into outer space. Their explanations linked to forces for this experiment were amazing!

After break we had outdoor learning where we made aliens, chalked the planets, created a moon walk obstacle course, explored a potions lab, looked for space items on a scavenger hunt, and cycled bikes and scooters.

Next was our Maths Investigation. This was a tricky task set for us by NASA. We had to devise launchpads of different areas using squares. Some were in rows of 3, some rows of 4. Luckily we know how to count in 3s and 4s so could complete the task.

In the afternoon we made space themed Mother’s Day cards (I hope they remembered to give them to you!). To end the day we watched some Blue Peter clips about Tim Peak in space, and space food. A huge thank you for all the effort put into costumes and sending in bottles. We really did have such a fun day!
