As part of our Animal topic (and also related to Spring) we focused on the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar written by Eric Carle. We learnt about the lifecycle of a butterfly and used pasta shapes to consolidate our learning, sequenced caterpillar numbers, labelled some of the fruits The Very Hungry Caterpillar ate, printed symmetrical butterflies with paint and made 2/3/4/5 colour caterpillar patterns! 🐛
