P1JC have been very busy during our maths activity time.
We have been making number sets with loose parts on large number mats.
We have been learning all about o'clock during our non number sessions
- we used individual clocks to make times
- we made our own clocks using paper squares and unifix for the hands
- we used the iPad's to find the o'clock times
- we recorded the correct times on a worksheet.
We have been learning about addition and using lots of different addition language. We started with adding one, we know it is the same as the number after and one more. We used numicon to help us add two numbers together. We recorded our sums using the + and = signs on our whiteboards.
