INSPIRING EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE AND SELF-BELIEF

Important Information from the Principal

14th Oct 2020

Dear Parents,

I am sure, like me, you have been waiting for updated guidance from the NI Executive regarding new restrictions due to Covid 19. I can now confirm that an extended half term break has been imposed and that the school will be closed from Monday 19th October until Monday 2nd November inclusive for all pupils. The Department of Education have just confirmed that this includes those children of key workers. School will resume on Tuesday 3rd November. Our school holiday list will be updated in due course with new dates for Term 3.

Some parents have interviews scheduled for next week. These will go ahead in the form of telephone interviews to the first contact number given to the school and will be on the same day /time as previously arranged.

Whilst it is technically a two week holiday we will be providing some fun activities on our home learning portal on the school website. These tasks will reinforce this half term's learning but are not compulsory by any means. Please feel free to enjoy the break if you choose!

Finally, I would like to thank you all most sincerely for your support and co-operation during this first half term. We have managed to keep all our pupils so safe and happy at Belmont and look forward to this continuing in November.

Best Wishes

O McIlroy
