More than 150 parents, their friends and family gathered in Shorts Sports and Recreation Club on Friday 29th January for quiz night. The quiz master for the night came very highly recommended and didn’t disappoint. With questions covering many topics and eras there was something for everyone and for those that weren’t doing so well in the quiz there was the bar. There was an opportunity to purchase a ticket in the hope of taking part in play your cards right. There were also cash prizes up for grabs. Belmont’s own Miss Boyce was successful in guessing higher and lower- a very popular winner. The PTA opted to give half of the money raised to the schools chosen charity for the 2015/2016 academic year andwere delighted to hand a cheque for £90 to the school to be included in the final cheque for the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance. The quiz was keenly contested with just a point between 1st and 2nd place.

The total raised for the night was in excess of £1800.  This was a great figure and given the success of the night and feedback received the PTA would hope to make this an annual event. Thank you to the hardworking sub committee and to all those who supported this event.  See you next year for the re-match!

Special thanks to the following companies who supported Belmont Primary School Quiz Night on January 29th 2016.
